We live in Orchard Crescent and express our concerns as below:
1. There are enough shops, within the locality already - this is turning the Village into a Town.
2. Parking was a total nightmare when there was a Doctors Surgery and at times the Police were called for double parking as we could not access our property - this proposal will cause even more problems.
Even the Council refuse lorries at times could not enter the close due to parking.
3. Traffic on Cardiff Road is horrendous at present this building will provide even more traffic and as there is a dangerous bend prior to this proposed site this will become very hazardous. accidents waiting to happen.
4. There are some families with younger children who play in the close and this has been noticed since the building has been empty - they will again have to seek other places to play.
5. We appreciate that something will replace the existing building but another retail unit is certainly not the answer.
