I object to the planning of a wakeboarding facility at Cosmeston. The reason many people visit this site is to enjoy a quiet walk around the lake and view the diverse habitat which is a retreat or home to much wildlife. Why ruin an area of natural beauty for an intrusive sport such as this. I have been wakeboarding and it is very noisy and invasive to the wildlife surrounding the facility. We need more green spaces to home our wildlife, not to scare them away. Surely it would better sited at a lake with an already established recreational use, such as Llandegvedd, rather than destroy a peaceful environment enjoyed by many. I do wonder what will happen to the protection of 'rare and diverse plant and animal species' as highlighted on the Cosmeston website if this goes ahead. I know I'll be one of many who will sadly avoid visiting if it does.
