We wish to object in the strongest possible terms to this development. No one concerned appears to have given a strong reason why this needs to happen, given the vast number of local concerns, and the availability of other brownfield sites in the area. The roads around the site - including through Flemingston, currently being used as little more than a rat run to the A48 - are already unable to cope, and the addition of a minimum of 300 and potentially up to 600 new vehicles using this already strained local road infrastructure is dangerous, unnecessary and irresponsible. Coupled with the effect on the local habitat and countryside, and the virtual annexing of Flemingston to become part of St Athan village, this development must not be allowed to happen.
