This is wrong on many levels, but I'll comment on only one: 300 homes means potentially 600 cars, many commuting out of the area. The road infrastructure will not support this! The road through Flemingston to the A48 isn't feasible, with few passing places. The roads to the A48 via Cowbridge or Llantrithyd are too narrow and the speed limits are already exceeded by most vehicles. The road through Eglwys Brewis is already the subject of demonstrations due to no pavements and school children walking them twice a day. Ask our MP! The final road out of the area, via St. Athan village, is a 30mph road with a school crossing (where the speed limit is exceeded by vehicles failing to use their brakes on Beggar's Pound hill) and a zebra crossing (positioned just after a bend, whichever way a vehicle travels from). 600 extra vehicles would make the area's roads even more dangerous than they currently are. Giving planning permission to this enterprise would be madness.
