I am writing regarding the above planning application.
I am asking the VoG Council to insist that an EIA is performed on this planning application.
The Welsh Office circular 11/99 EIA (especially paragraph 33) must be considered when deliberating on the above planning application.
a) This is not a local development on the St Athan Enterprise Zone but a regional one.
b) This area is an environmentally sensitive one that supports various kinds of wildlife.
c) Having lived in the area since 1972, I am hugely aware of the problems of flooding within this area. This project will affect the flood alleviation schemes for both Llanmaes & Boverton.
d) Whilst the planned bridge & the proposed lighting will not affect me directly, the light pollution is bound to affect those closer to the planned development.
